- You need your wristband for entry into freshers’ events.
- Any wristbands that are broken or removed are void.

What's included in wristband?
Entry to 11 club nights (excluding the Freshers’ Ball) plus a welcome party t-shirt.
Are Freshers events just for first year students?
No. Students from any year of study are welcome to attend Freshers’ events!
Do I have to buy a Freshers’ Wristband before I arrive?
Wristbands are subject to availability. To ensure you do not miss out on any freshers’ events we strongly recommend you purchase one in advance rather than on arrival. To find out more and to purchase the official Cardiff University wristband, click here.
If Freshers' Wristbands sell out, will extras be released?
Freshers’ wristbands are subject to availability. Once they are sold out there will be no additional wristbands available. We don’t want you to miss out. We strongly recommend that you purchase your freshers’ wristband in advance.
Will I be able to tickets on the door?
Some nights may have extra tickets on the door, however we cannot guarantee there will be tickets available.
Are other wristbands types available?
Only wristbands bought from this website are official Cardiff University wristbands. If you have bought the wrong wristband from another company and feel you have been misled, you can phone the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 084 5404 0506 with the details of where you bought the wristband from.
Will I receive my order by post?
Once you have completed your purchase online, you will receive an e-ticket that you need to bring with you to pick up your wristband.
Where can I collect my wristband?
You can collect your wristband from Wednesday 14th September from Cardiff University Students’ Union. Remember you will need to collect your student ID card first then collect your wristband. Please visit cardiff.ac.uk/new-students/enrolment for details about enrolment and how to collect your Student ID card.

I am now unable to attend, can I have a refund?
Unfortunately all wristband and ticket sales are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Can I just buy a tickets for Freshers’ Ball?
Yes you can. They are £25 each. However, don’t forget if you purchase the Freshers’ Ball ticket with the Freshers’ Wristband you save £5.
What do I need to bring with me when I collect my wristband?
All you need to bring is your student ID card and a copy of your e-ticket.
How much are the wristbands?
Wristbands are £45, but you can create a Freshers’ package including a Freshers’ Ball ticket and other items. See the Freshers’ Wristband page for more information.
