All customer data on this website is collected, processed and stored securely in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, Cardiff University Students’ Union (T/A Love Cardiff) will not pass on or sell customer information to 3rd parties.

Privacy Policy

Any personal or card information collected during the purchasing of product is not retained by Love Cardiff.  Any contact details you provide will only be used to process the order and will not be sold or given away to any third parties.  This is includes your email addresses, physical addresses and phone numbers.  Your contact information will be securely held by Love Cardiff in order to complete your order.

  • Love Cardiff online: When purchasing via shop.cardiffstudents.com you will be automatically opted into our membership mailing list to receive Love Cardiff exclusive discounts and product updates.

    Love Cardiff instore: When showing your student card in store, you will receive 10% discount on all future purchases subject to the t & c’s. As part of this, you will be signing up to a mailing list to enjoy exclusive discounts and product updates.
    By showing your student card at the till point in the Love Cardiff store, you will consent to join the Love Cardiff membership mailing list You can opt out of this communication at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email you have received from lovecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk

  • We want you to love your new purchase, however, we understand people change their minds.

    Returns
    Full priced items: Return to us within 28 days from when you have received the order.
    Items must be in a resalable condition, unused, brand new and with the original tags attached.

    Exchanges
    Exchanges are not available online. However, if you are able to come into store within 28 days of receiving your item we can arrange an exchange for you in person.

    Discounted Items
    Discounted or sale items are non refundable unless the item is faulty.
    Exchange within 28 days is available in store.

    Personalised / pre-ordered products
    Personalised, custom made or pre-ordered products cannot be returned for exchange or refund unless they are faulty.
    Errors to spelling are the responsibility of the customer.

    How to return an item
    Email lovecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk with your
    order number and reason for return. Refunds are processed within 5 working days after the item is checked, plus up to 3 working days for funds to appear.

    Returning Items by Post

    Items may be returned to:

    University Students’ Union, Park Place, Cardiff CF10 3QN

     Customers cover return postage. Proof of postage is recommended, as we cannot be responsible for lost items. Refunds cover item cost only. The delivery and return fee will not be refunded.

  • Postage time
    We aim to dispatch orders within 3 working days of the date placed. We aim to post orders as soon as possible but, dispatch times may vary according to availability. Should we expect this to be longer we will contact you.

    Please note that any pre-order items/offers we have running will be subject to their own dispatch date/time. Please check the t&c’s and product description in relation to these items.

    Delivery times are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible. Please check royalmail.com for updates. 

    To ensure your package arrives safely we send all of our packages via a signed for or tracked &/ signed for service. It is your responsibility to ensure someone is home to receive the package. It will be the responsibility of the customer if any packages are returned to sender due to missed delivery.

    Postage Charges
    Delivery charges are calculated on the website by weight and price. Packing charges are calculated within the postal fee.  

    Custom charges, import fees and taxes on orders to countries outside the UK are to be paid by the customer. Love Cardiff is unable to predict and is not liable for any of these charges. We advise that you check the customs information relevant to the delivery country. 

    Pre Orders will be sent on a set date stated on the item at purchase  

    Deliveries to the UK take 3-5 working days to arrive from the dispatch date. 

    International delivery takes up to 10 working days from the dispatch date. 

    Postal services cannot be upgraded.  

    All orders to the UK will be dispatched via Royal Mail using the selected postage you choose. Please note that delivery time may not be accuracy during busy periods. Delivery time starts from the date of posting and not the date ordered. Any issue once posted please contact Royal Mail as soon as possible to avoid further delays.

    Orders to countries outside the UK will be dispatched via Royal Mail International Tracked and/or Signed For. Proof of postage will be retained by Love Cardiff. 

  • Click and collect

    We aim to have Click and Collects ready at the Love Cardiff store within 1 working days of order placement. (Excluding closure dates, we will aim to have it ready 3 days from reopening) 

    You will receive an email when your order is ready to collect.

     On collection, please present your order number and last name and a member of staff will locate your parcel. Please bring I.D with you on collecting to confirm your order, we will accept any form of ID displaying your full name and photo. You will be asked to sign for the item. 

    Picking up for someone else, we our happy for you to collect on behalf of someone else Please make sure you have the order number and the name on the parcel. You will need your I.D with you for collection and will be asked to sign for the item. 

    Collection for pre orders

    Collections for graduation pre order will be the week of graduation from the Love Cardiff store. See Graduation terms below for more details.

  • This is a limited-edition range available for Graduation only.

    The pre-ordering period for personalised Graduation 2026 clothing is 18th March 2026 – 7th June 2026 available online only.

    After 7th June, there will be a  second ordering window that will close 9th August 2026.

    Personalisation during the second window will incur an additional charge of £6 per custom text, including both the school name and the individual name.

    Graduation Delivery Schedule

    Graduation pre-orders are made to order and
    require additional processing time. Orders placed by 7th June 2026 will be
    dispatched between 1st – 12th July 2026.

    Orders placed between 8th June – 9th August
    2026 will be dispatched week commencing 7th September 2026.

    UK shipping will be sent via Royal Mail 48HR Tracked (3–5 working days).

    International shipping will be sent via tracked and/or signed-for services.

    Please ensure you check your delivery address to confirm you will be at that
    address during the postal window. When the package has been dispatched no
    changes can be made and Love Cardiff will not be liable for postal address
    mistakes.

    Click & Collect

    Click and Collect is available FREE OF CHARGE for orders before 7th June 2026.

    Click and Collect orders must be collected from the Love Cardiff Store on the Ground floor of the Students’ Union building between 13th July – 19th July2026.

    To collect you will need your order confirmation, name and order number.

    Orders will remain available to collect during the Love Cardiff opening times until 31st July 2026. Please note Love Cardiff opening / closure times.

    Collections must take place within the Love Cardiff opening hours. This may be affected by closures week commencing 22nd July 2026.

    Customers unable to collect must email
    lovecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk to arrange paid delivery.

    Orders not collected or arranged by 31st
    August 2026 will be disposed of without refund.

    Personalisation

    Graduation items can be personalised FREE OF CHARGE before 7th June 2026. This includes the name and/or school embroidered on the front.  

    After 7th June 2026, personalisation costs £6 per personalisation and dispatched
    at a later date (see delivery schedule above).

    Customers must ensure the correct school is
    selected and individual name is spelt correctly before checking out.

    Love Cardiff is not responsible for incorrect selections or spelling errors.

    Custom text is limited to a maximum of 20 characters per line due to embroidery constraints. Please ensure your text fits within this limit when placing your order.

    Errors must be reported immediately to lovecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk. We will
    try our best to address any issues providing the order has not been processed. However, this is not guaranteed.

    Returns Policy

    Returns or Exchanges: NOT ACCEPTED

    Personalised and dated items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable as they cannot be resold.

    Customers must check the size guide and spelling before completing their order. Love Cardiff will not be held responsible for spelling errors / incorrect selection of school names and sizing.

    Changes to an Order

    Order modifications are not always possible as orders are processed quickly.

    Changes can only be made if the order has not yet been processed but this is not always guaranteed.

    If a mistake is noticed, customers must email lovecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk as soon as possible.

  • All payments on this website are in GBP pounds (£ sterling).

  • Want to exchange an item?
    We do not offer exchanges by post for online orders. If you would like to exchange and cannot make it into the store you will need to create a return for your item and then simply create a new order for the new item.
    If you would like to exchange, you can do so by bringing your online purchase in store.

    Faulty Items  

    All efforts are taking to check items at each point of packing, but we are only human.

    If your item is faulty, please accept our apology and follow these steps., Please contact us with the fault details and a photograph of the faulty item at your earliest convenience by e-mailing us using the following address lovecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk .

    Alternatively bring the goods back into the store with your recorded of purchase and a member of staff will assist you

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

    If delivery is missed it is the customer’s responsibility to rearrange delivery with the courier or collect the order from the local depot within the timescale dictated by the courier. Love Cardiff is not liable if the parcel is missed by the customer. Please note we use the royal mail signed for service’. 

    International orders

    international order may be subject to custom fee that must be paid by the customer

    USA customers

    Due to new traffic in place as of 29/09/2025 we will now be charging duty on checkout, this will be automatics apply to any US order

  • Every effort is made to maintain, update and check the website daily, but sometimes technological errors can occur. 

    This can include out of stock items. 

    Love Cardiff will not be bound by any incorrect pricing for any products on the website. 

    When this occurs, we will be in contact about the error as soon as possible and help to find a solution.

  • Promotional Codes 

    Occasionally we may give promotional codes that you can use to reduce the price of specific products. Remember, it is up to you to add the discount code at checkout.

    All online promotions will have a code to be typed in out checkout . For the discount to be applied you must use the code for the offer. Promotion will not be given if code has not been used.  It is the customers responsibility to enter the code at the checkout.

    If you have forgotten to use the code, please email love Cardiff as soon as possible to discuss 

    Each promo code has its own terms & conditions. These will be specified  at the time of issue either on the  email / artwork / web banner. This includes, what items the code can be used on and end dates.

    Unless stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be used on sale products and will not apply to the cost of shipping.

    Freshers Survey Winners


    £100 voucher to spend in our Love Cardiff store our Official Cardiff University merchandise. Please collect your voucher from the Welcome Centre on the 2nd floor. The voucher can be spent in our Love Cardiff store on the ground floor of the SU building. The voucher excludes Post Office transactions and y1 society product.     Delivery Time


    If the item is a pre-order, the dispatch date will be listed in the product description.

    If no dispatch date is given, this indicates a longer delivery time, which will be stated on the product.

    Example: “Y1 average delivery time ranges from 8–10 weeks from the whole order being placed (not your individual order).”

    Please disregard the automated delivery time shown on your confirmation email, as these do not reflect pre-order timings and cannot be updated.

    Refunds & Exchanges

    Pre-ordered or personalised items do not qualify for a refund or exchange.

    Please ensure you check the size guide before purchasing.

    Name Spelling & Customer Responsibility

    The spelling of names or any custom text is the responsibility of the customer.

    Please double-check all spelling before proceeding to checkout.

    Love Cardiff cannot be held responsible for misspellings or incorrect information provided

    Graduation Products

    Customers must ensure the correct school is selected from the drop-down list.

    Love Cardiff cannot be held responsible for the selection of an incorrect school name.

    Y1 Products

    Custom text must be written in capital letters in the box provided.

    Each custom text entry incurs a charge of £3.50 (unless stated otherwise).

    If custom text is not added to the box, it will need to be added to the Product.

    If you forget to add custom text, please email us as soon as possible.

    Checking Your Order

    Please ensure you are fully satisfied with the text entered and double-check all spelling before completing your order.

    Love Cardiff will not be responsible for errors in spelling or entered text.

    Styles, colours and accessories are allocated randomly – customers cannot choose contents.

    Sizes are allocated based on the bag selected at purchase. Please check you are buying the correct size before completing your purchase.

    Due to the nature of this product, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges if you change your mind or do not like the contents.

    This does not affect your statutory rights. Refunds or exchanges will be given where items are faulty, damaged, or not as described in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
